UPDATE – Match against Charlestown Hiq has been provisionally booked for 11.30 Kick Off on Sunday 14th on the pitch at RAME. The league allows for matches with fewer than 11 players if circumstances dictate, so we will be in a position to to play this fixture.
The U13 team will have training at the usual time of 5.30pm to 7pm on Wednesday 10th October. All existing players are welcome and any boy wishing to see if he would like to take part is also welcome
The two new coaches for this team are – Jack Greenwood (Level 2 qualified FA coach) and Ryan Tresidder (Captain of Wendron 1st Team)
Treve Mathews ( Chairman of the Wendron Youth) will be in attendance as well. If you are unable to attend training on this occasion but would like to play at Wendron please contact Treve Mathews : – 07976625997 and make your future interest known.

The last meeting before the Sharon wood Tournament – Alan will have the final details and groups to be sent out and we need to just go through the final preparation lists. Please all attend.
Everyone at Wendron CC and wendron FC will be sad to learn of the death, on Sunday 24th June, of former vice chairman, Jack Prowse, aged 82.
Jack first joined Wendron in the 1990s, to help publish the club newsletter, the ‘Wendron Whirlwind’. He served as a member of the main committee for a number of years and was President of Football during one of the club’s most successful periods, taking great pleasure in playing host to officials and dignatories from visiting clubs.
But Jack will be most remembered for the hundreds of hours of dedicated service he gave to the preparation of pitches at Underlane. In all winds and weathers, he could be seen driving his ride-on mower across an already beautiful pitch in order to remove the millimetres of growth from the previous day, ensuring a perfect playing surface for Wendron’s footballers.
His efforts with the ground were recognised by others. In 2009 he won a Football Association national groundmanship award, presented by BBC football pundit, Mark Lawrenson. Sky Sports TV cameras and an appearance on Sky Sports news soon followed, enabling Jack to give a tongue-in-cheek interview that suggested the Wembley pitch might be improved if a flock of sheep were installed by the FA!
In 2011, Jack was very proud to have been made a vice president of the Cornwall County Football Association.
Funeral arrangements have yet to be confirmed.

Wendron are hosting the West Cornwall Motor Show on the 1st July 2012. This event is one of the fundraising events for the club and helps to keep the club going and growing with better facilities and events. Please can parents of players in the youth section help out at the following times. This will be a great help to the club.

A new Secretary and Chairman will also be elected as the present holders are standing down after many years work.
